STOMA CLINIC
A stoma is a surgically created opening on the body that allows for the passage of waste. A stoma may be temporary or permanent depending on the condition of the patient. Types of stomas include colostomy, ileostomy and ileal conduit (or urinary diversion).Our responsibilities extend far beyond stoma surgeries and include specialised care for patients undergoing stoma surgeries, pre and post-operative education, counselling, consultation for management of fistulae/ wounds and assistance for long-term drain tubes/ fistulae.
